A non-stop night of laughter. With 30 years of combined stage experience, Gigi and Delighted have teamed up tonight to present a duo show of drag, comedy, singing and celebrity impersonations. Now based in Juneau, Alaska, Gigi is a world-touring drag diva known for her celebrity lookalikes/soundalikes. Delighted hails from New York City and is an award-winning entertainer with an impressive vocal range, quick southern wit and charm. Although Gigi now lives in Alaska, Delighted still refers to her as her Georgia Peach. This pairing was a top priority for return booking by Act II Entertainment owner Danny Mininni. This is the first 5 pm show which will continue all season from now on. All material is suited for any age group.

Adele appeared with “Hello [It’s Me]” starting the night of illusions. Close your eyes and envision the superstar singing onstage. Maybe it is. Gigi became Liza Minnelli with “New York, New York” presenting that song as well as anyone else including Ol’ Blue Eyes. For twelve years, give or take after they use an abacus to calculate, they have been performing together back when Delighted would “use a piece of material for a necklace”. Times have changed with them “bringing 15 suitcases of outfits. Well, you need one for ‘boy clothes’ too. They may have packed their traveling bags but the local community packed The Red Room overflowing so more chairs needed to be furnished.  The mass of followers clapped, yelled, laughed and begged for more constantly through the evening.

Delighted had given the community last season a show on how to become Drag [Drag 101] and she reminded us with an appropriate “Luck [Tuck] Be a Lady”. There was a quarrel as to who would impersonate Cher and Gigi won. So, Delighted appeared as Elvis, The King, and sang “Walking in Memphis” when suddenly, the sparky pantsuit was stripped off revealing a glittery Cher-Las Vegas-style gown and she continued the song. Gigi ran onstage from the dressing room screaming “What are you doing?”. Delighted transformed Gigi into Sonny with a vest, bowl hair wig and mustache. They broke into “I Got You Babe” and a Cher medley ensued. “The Way of Love” was a standout.

Out strut a defiantly patriotic Sarah Palin in a perfect suit, bun hairdo and glasses. Was it actually her? She raised the vibes with “Here For the Party” waving a flag, then exited. “Are we having fun yet?” asked Delighted and the place roared. Delighted took on the world of country/pop with a beautiful blond Dolly Parton clicking away to “Nine to Fine” and then up on “Rocky Top [Tennessee]”. Television theme songs were acknowledged in a sing-a-long until I Love Lucy whose theme had no words. Out popped Gigi dressed as Lucy for the Vitameatavegamin commercial and she promptly got soused leading to much hilarity. Much discussion followed as to whether Delighted would be allowed to do her ‘voices’. Gigi acquiesced and “What a Wonderful World” filled the air first by Louis Armstrong then by other famous people attempting to project the lyrics. She indeed has a way with famous voices.

Delightful announced their final performance this evening would be “The number one medley in Puerto Vallarta right now: ABBA.” Tunes included the ever-famous “Mamma Mia” and “Money Money Money”. They ended with “Thank You For the Music” and the audience gave gracias to them with a standing ovation and shouts for more. Their short run is a commodity with which their followers, new and old, must follow and will result in extreme pleasure.
