Puerto Vallarta Drag Shows The Cabaret Theatres

pv cabaret shows

Puerto Vallarta Drag Shows The Cabaret Theatres is a very popular thing to do in our city with large entertainment venues like Palm Cabaret and Bar, Act 2 Entertainment, Incanto Vallarta, and Nacho Daddy. Puerto Vallarta is called P-town South and we have the 2nd largest cabaret scene in North American after P-Town. Shows and entertainment has been a part of PV’s gay scene for 21 years starting with Palm Cabaret in 1999. Mark Rome was responsible for booking acts at The Palm Cabaret like Ida Slapter, Carrie Chesnutt, Kim Kuzma, and Amy and Freddy. In those days, there were not as many options to go out as there are now. People made a whole night of going to the cabaret shows in Puerto Vallarta. It was a fun night out that had a drag show in it. The evening was from 10 pm until 2 am. But things certainly have improved here. The show performers, sound and lighting have great improved. There are 4 entertainment venues in town.

palm cabaret

The Palm Cabaret and Bar Olas Altas #508 Palm began around 2000 as a Cafe that served great burgers. Entertainers would pop in who were visiting on vacation and do a number or two. Before long, artists from all over were doing everything from disco to drag and beyond. Eventually, Mark Rome began organizing a show schedule and entertainers returned year after year and so did the audiences both gay and straight. The Palm no longer serves food, but we usually send you a bowl of great, fresh popcorn. They are open November thru early April, 7 nights per week and usually have two shows per night, one at 7:00 pm and one at 9:30 pm. They often feature afternoon matinees as well. A remodel in 2019 included air conditioned and seating for over 100 people in comfortable plush salon style chairs and padded bar stools.
