Gay Cabaret In Puerto Vallarta The Palm Cabaret Opening Night 2019-2020 begins with a huge blast of star power. Miss Conception opened this extravagant evening with wild singing and strutting showcasing a colorful outfit. The Season is On. Miss C is back for her tenth season driving thousands crazy with her own zaniness. Moelle is a band of top quality musicians who streamed through their set featuring vocalist, Fernanda Hernández. Amy Winehouse’s “Stronger Than Me” set the brassy tone for their presentation theme.

Luis Villanueva debuts at The Palm with the attendees finding another fantastic artist to follow. He has a strong beautiful voice and he has learned how to gain the most from the vocal cords. Most of his set featured a male modern dancer.

Spencer Day chatted about his recent foray into the Broadway scene where he sang many favorite show tunes. The run was a major success but with the talent he possesses, that is not difficult to imagine. Now he is back in Mexico where he loves the community of Puerto Vallarta entertainment. He veered into Boleros, hence the name of his new show here “Broadway to Boleros”. He performed tonight with renown guitarist duo Eduardo Leon and Zoey Wood. “Careless Whisper” brought sighs from the audience for this handsome man is beloved by a wide range of personal tastes. He slid through Evita’s “I’d Be Surprisingly Good For You”. Spencer discussed that songwriting is an area he loves to explore and while seated at the piano, gave one such composition “Movie of Your Life”. “Happy to be here” declared, pleasing everyone present. The out-of-control screams revealed that many people present felt the same way.

Lady Zen, new to The Palm Cabaret, blasted the room with delightfully high, rich vocals.. “Diamonds Are Forever” was a superb take on Shirley Bassey’s James Bond movie tune. To her great surprise, the people stood and cheered her in ovation. The audience expects more thrills from this lady and tickets will go quickly. Tongue in cheek, she performed “California Girls”.

Miss Conception appeared again [she was the hostess] and sang a meaningful Cyndi Lauper song “True Colors”: “So don’t be afraid to let them show. Your true colors are beautiful.” “We Are Family” sent out the chorus of unity in our community.

Piel Canela, The Palm’s house band, finished this opening night in true Latin fashion. Fernando Huerta Gonzalez leads Piel Canela with his specially selected musicians to produce as fine a Latin band possible: Gary Flores Morales on percussion, Luis Rascón plays double bass, violonchelo [cello] and bongos, José Galvan on bass guitar and Alberto Ramirez “Mimo” plays lead guitar. The band loves the music of the Gipsy Kings and imparted “Porompompero” in their rumba Flamenca style. As Fernando once said, we are Latin, we speak Spanish and we love to sing Latin music.

100% of the entrance fees were donated to R.I.S.E.  Owners Gustavo and Adriana should stand tall and proud. The audience absorbed a spice of what entertainment lies ahead every night until mid-April. The Palm’s talent roster maybe its best in the last twenty years.
