Due to overwhelming popularity, STUDS Bear and Leather Bar will be expanding into the first floor of its current location. Hector Morales, manager of Studs, informs GAYPV Magazine “We are very excited about the popularity of STUDS and desperately need the space to meet growing customer demands. As they say bigger is always better and that certainly applies to STUDS. More space means more bears and more fun!.
What is happening at STUDS?
STUDS will now become 2 floors! The 1st floor will be designed to match the decor and vibe of the extremely popular second floor, with Go Go dancers on the weekends. The 1st floor will open earlier (6pm) to meet customer request for music from of the classics and rock hits bears love. They will continue to offer food (as their Sushi is very popular) expanding take-out options and adding more bear favorites like finger foods and hotdogs, etc. THE GEAR SHOP will expand to the 1st floor and offer a larger selection of adult-themed items. The 2nd floor will have more defined private areas, videos and the stair entrance will be connected to the 1st floor to allow customers to use both levels to meet the demand for more space and even more fun!
When are the changes taking place?
The changes are now underway and expected to be completed before the end of the year. Mike Owens, the owner of STUDS and THERAPY Bar thanks all the THERAPY customers and performers that made it such an amazing experience. STUDS will be open as normal during the transition. Get ready for more space, more fun and more events for bears from STUDS!
STUDS Bear Bar is located at Basilio Badillo #283 and is the new meeting location for the Puerto Vallarta Gay Bar Tour and the BEARADISE Social Mixers. They will be hosting special events with Beef Dip and Bearadise for the upcoming Bear Week 2023 along with expanding their weekly popular jock/ leather and lights out parties.
