Current Puerto Vallarta Covid-19 Restrictions Extended. The governor in Jalisco which includes Puerto Vallarta just announced four new things about Covid-19.

  1. All the current restrictions will be maintained until February 12, 2021.
  2. Covid-19 cases in Jalisco are plateauing and are at the highest level since 11 months.
  3. University of Guadalajara will create new contagion avoidance strategies that will apply to the Jalisco state for the rest of the calendar year on February 12, 2021. 
  4.  The first four cases of the E484K variant have been found in Jalisco: this is the strain responsible for the advance contagion in South Africa and Brazil so we all need to be extra careful.

Where To Get COVID-19 Test In Puerto Vallarta? The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued an order expanding coronavirus testing requirements for nearly all international air travelers starting Jan. 26. The new rules will require all U.S.-bound passengers age 2 and over to get negative COVID-19 test results within three calendar days before their flight to the U.S. departs and provide written documentation of their laboratory test results or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19. Air passengers are required to get a viral test (a test for current infection) within the 3 days before their flight to the U.S. departs, and provide written documentation of their laboratory test result (paper or electronic copy) to the airline or provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19.

Bars and Clubs, and Cabaret Theatres are Closed and Parties and Social Events Cancelled. 

 Zoos, theatres, casinos and museums closed.

All Public Spaces (whether open or closed areas) are Closed. 

Health Officials recommend everyone over 60 to stay at home. 

 

 

 

Activities With Partial Restrictions 

Restaurants are open at 50% capacity until 10pm.

Beaches are open from 5am to 3pm. 

Puerto Vallarta Gyms And Sports Areas Allowed to Reopen as of February 2, 2021. The state of Jalisco has revered an earlier closing of gyms and sports centers from the recently announced extension of restrictions until February 12, 2021. Enrique Alfaro Ramírez and the Jalisco Board of Health raised the need to open access to safe places for physical activity taking into account the importance that correct nutrition, exercise and strengthening of the body have for mental health.
