A new study of 6300 LGBTQ travelers by IGLTA shows 73% of LGBTQ travelers expect to take their next major vacation before the end of 2021. The most popular months chosen to vacation for 2021 are May (12%) July (12%) and August(11%). Short flights of less than 3 hours are desired by 50% of the respondents. 58% are likely or very likely to stay in a hotel and 43% of the travelers are likely or very likely to attend a pride event or festival.

You are required to submit a mobile health questionnaire before arrival to Mexico and once it is completed you receive a QR code to be presented upon arrival to the airport. To leave Mexico you must test negative for COVID-19 to re-enter the United States. Several local hotels and local gay businesses offer this test so its is easily obtained when you are ready to depart.
What is open in Puerto Vallarta?
All the gay bars, gay and friendly businesses, and beaches are open. Bars and clubs are open until 2-3am, the beaches open normally as well as all gay businesses, hotels and restaurants. Most businesses have temperature checks and limited capacity with social distancing protocols in place.
