In honor of World Aids Day December 1, 2022 Puerto Vallarta Mayor Luis Alberto Michel signed a lease agreement in favor of Solidarity Ed Thomas A.C. (SETAC) for the use of the booth located in Lázaro Cárdenas Park for promotion and prevention in health, as well as its link to the LGBTIQ+ community, for the next ten years. This lease was signed by city trustee Juan Carlos Hernandez with Roberto Ramos, director general of the DIF Puerto Vallarta, and councilor Candelaria Tovar, president of the Health Building Commission.
Paco Arjona, executive director of SETAC, celebrated the legal act that is based on a panel agreement and congratulated the City Council of Puerto Vallarta for its commitment to close the gaps in health and in favor of rights s humans. SETAC
- Conducts 1,500 HIV tests and distributes 120,000 condoms per year in Puerto Vallarta.
- Has two offices, in Zona Romantica and Versalles, plus a permanent information booth in Lazaro Cardenas Park, a laboratory, and attends more than 250 patient visits each month.
