Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Bistro Teresa is coming to Casa Cupula. Casa Cupula is pleased to announce a new partnership with local gourmet restaurant Bistro Teresa. The new Bistro Teresa at Casa Cupula will manage Casa Cupula’s food and beverage operations and provide guests with the luxurious experience many have enjoyed at their El Centro location overlooking Puerto Vallarta’s Malecon.  The new location offers a true tropical dining experience on the terrace among the beautiful jungle trees.

“When Bistro Teresa opened their first Puerto Vallarta location in Amapas nine years ago, it was the only restaurant near our hotel that provided a gourmet experience,” explained Casa Cupula owner, Don Pickens. “We are thrilled to see them coming back to the neighborhood where they started. Their creative and consistently high end dining experience will be greatly appreciated by our sophisticated clientele.”

Bistro Teresa is the brainchild of Marisol Flores and Laura Hernández. “My grandmother and Laura’s mother’s name is Teresa, so we decided to name our restaurant in their honor,” Marisol explains. Bistro Teresa enjoyed five successful years in Amapas, after which they relocated to Puerto Vallarta’s El Centro neighborhood, directly across from City Hall, where they continue to wow guests with their stellar cuisine and a spectacular view of the bay.

Location aside, Bistro Teresa’s enduring success can be attributed to chef Marisol’s unique approach to creating her signature dishes. She originally studied at the University of Veracruz before moving to Mexico City where she worked at some of the megalopolis’ finest restaurants. Here in Puerto Vallarta, she’s had a strong following thanks to surprising creations, such as her chicken with ginger and passion fruit, or her shrimp and crab stuffed chile poblano with a creamy goat cheese sauce.

With this new association, Bistro Teresa at Casa Cupula will feature some of their staple dishes along with some new ones. Marisol and Laura are strong advocates of Mexican wines, so the new menus will be planned around delectable pairings with one of Mexico’s increasingly important contributions to the fine dining experience around the world.

In addition to Casa Cupula’s breakfast and lunch and our popular Sunday brunch, the new Bistro Teresa at Casa Cupula will be open for dinner Monday to Saturday starting November 4. In addition, Bistro Teresa offers other dining-related amenities currently available at Casa Cupula, such as private dinners and room service.  Private events for up to 80 people including weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties and business meetings can be hosted at either the restaurant or at the Pool Club at Casa Cupula.

The restaurant will be closed from October 21-24 for renovations, and will re-open on October 25 under the management of Bistro Teresa. Bistro Teresa at Casa Cupula’s first special event will be a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 28.
