If you are ready to learn the secrets from the pros at El Arrayan restaurant this cooking class is for you!, Learn in our all stainless steel professional kitchen, bring the flavors of authentic Mexican cuisine to your home and have tons of fun at the same time. El Arrayán team invites you to be a part of this unique Puerto Vallarta experience where the aromas, flavors and colors of Mexico come together in one place…Restaurant El Arrayán. At El Arrayan, dishes are prepared by incorporating pre Hispanic ingredients, such as a large variety of chili peppers, corn, nopales, beans, squash and avocado, in harmonious combination with ingredients of European origin brought to Mexico during the times of the conquest, such as pork, beef and cheese, among others. All sauces and moles are home made from scratch. The bar offers a good selection of regional raicilla, mezcal and tequila, as well as international liquors and select Mexican wines.
Regular cooking classes are scheduled from October to March Mondays 930am, Thursdays and Saturdays 11am
Scheduled classes, individual, private or group lessons can be booked as well.
Description of Cooking Classes:
Breakfast + Tour + Class + Lunch on Mondays
Meet at EL ARRAYÁN at 9.30am. Go for traditional Mexican breakfast, visit to the market & tortilla factory. Come back to EL ARRAYÁN, receive printed recipes in English and embroidered apron. Receive hands on instruction in English. Have lunch of what you have cooked. Includes one drink or one glass white or red Mexican wine. Transportation that is included: restaurant to > breakfast > to market & back > to restaurant. We are usually finished around 2.45 pm.
Class + Lunch on Thursdays or Saturdays
Meet at EL ARRAYÁN at 11.00 am. Receive printed recipes in English and embroidered apron. Receive hands on instruction in English. Have lunch of what you have cooked. Includes one drink or one glass red or white Mexican wine. We are usually finished around 2.45 pm For both types of classes you will be learning and having for lunch: Appetizer, main course, dessert & fresh salsa. All very traditional Mexican food recipes. You may also have
the chance to try to make tortillas with fresh corn masa, if time allows the group.
Classes from April to September (Summer season) may be available for a minimum of four people or more, reserved at least 10 days in advance, to be able to arrange specific details with our team. However, we have learned from previous experiences that, classes during the Summer are possible only when weather, temperatures & humidity levels allow to have a comfortable class inside our restaurant kitchen. It will all depend on current conditions that may allow us to offer you an enjoyable experience inside our restaurant kitchen, while cooking.
