Since being closed March 17, 2020 some PV gay and gay friendly bars announced reopening as a restaurant/bar with strict safety protocols and food consumption requirements on June 25, 2020. However, Some Puerto Vallarta Gay Bars Are Not Open By Choice. Puerto Vallarta municipal authorities emphasize that parties and large gatherings are still prohibited, not only in public event rooms but they are also banned in private spaces such as private gardens and pools. Live entertainment in bars is not allowed at this time. Also the dance floors are not open and congregating with other people is also prohibited in bars. Here is the list of PV bars not open.
Garbo Bar Vallarta closed until further notice as of July 10, 2020
Dear Friends and customers, as you all know we opened Garbo two weeks ago, this time we needed to open as a restaurant, we did, we tried and enjoyed it, unfortunately it was not profitable, We are a Piano bar & jazz so our customers and us miss to have live entertaiment, we are going through a tough summer but we Will get back as soon as we can with all the ingridients that Garbo has had always offered to you, fun people, great drinks, live music and more. Apaches Statement on not opening July 8 2020. We hope this finds everyone safe and well. We miss you all. As in many parts of the world, this virus is once again maintaining momentum which has been the case for Vallarta over the past week. We were hoping to reopen July 15th but those plans have been halted. Over the past week there has been a spike in active cases/deaths in our city/state, which has prompted the Governour to issue a hard statement that a State wide total shutdown is imminent if the numbers are not brought under control within the next few days.
We have once again made the hard choice (or was it made for us?) to remain closed once again until we feel comfortable that it is safe to reopen. We are going on 4 months of closure and want more than ever to reopen but feel this is not the time to do so. We thank you all for your support and well wishes. Bar Frida June 30, 2020 statement not reopening. In the last few days people are asking us about our reopening.
Here is an update: For now we have decided to remain closed for a little longer watching the numbers of the pandemic in Puerto Vallarta. The health of our costumers, staff and ours is very important. When we decide to reopen, hopefully soon, we will do it strictly following the regulations and protocols required by the authorities. Once we have a date we will let you all know. En los últimos dias mucha gente nos ha preguntado acerca de nuestra reapertura. Nuestra respuesta es que por ahora hemos decidido seguir cerrados por un poco más de tiempo y observando cómo evoluciona la pandemia en los próximos días. La salud de nuestros clientes, trabajadores y la nuestra es muy importante.
