PV Bomberos 9-1-1 2018 Calendar Release

2018 pv bomberos calendar

Puerto Vallarta firefighters, lifeguards and police will set off some sparks Thursday night, November 9th at Paco’s Ranch (Ignacio L. Vallarta 237) in Colonia Emiliano Zapata. Festivities begin at 7 pm (6:30 pm for sponsors) and will include 2-for-1 drinks, live entertainment by Amy Armstrong, raffle, mini-auction and, of course, appearances by our calendar models.

The first 50 people that purchase calendars at the kick-off and the first ten people that purchase calendar at the Farmers Market on Saturday, November 11th will receive a special autographed edition of the calendar. 100% of the $250 pesos’ donation will be earmarked for the purchase of state-of-the-art digital radios for the first-responders. Critical response time for 9-1-1 emergency calls will reduce greatly with this equipment. Organizers Tim Longpr and Gary Green, anticipate raising over $400,000 pesos. The sizzlin’ 14-month calendar, featuring U.S., Canadian and Mexico holidays, will be on sale at the November 9th kick-off as well as at Saturday’s Farmers Market at Lazaro Cardenas Park. Since 2011, over $650,000 pesos (about $40,000 USD) have been generated from the sale of Heroes Calendars. Past donations were earmarked for our fire fighters and lifeguards’ training and education.

Why the need?  Federal government paid for the new 911 dispatch center and staffing; the State assisted with funding for vital infrastructure equipment BUT city budget is lacking the much-needed funds to purchase remainder of equipment. Pass this on and contribute if you can. We are also looking for current and retired first-responders (police, fire, paramedics, etc) that may want to be part of a THINK TANK to see how we can get our friends to the North involved. This affects all emergency services — police, fire, paramedics and lifeguards. Your donations are needed and support a great cause.

Sponsors for the 9-1-1 calendar include Act II Entertainment, Adam Riemer. Andale’s on the Bay, Apache’s Bistro, Apache’s Martini Bar, Banderas News, Casa Karma, CC Slaughters, Chaz Weathers, Cindy and Bert Ramirez, Dale Dubach, Dee’s Coffee, Diana Tours, Dianita’s and La Valentina Restaurant, Incanto, Integrair, John Osgood, La Margarita Bar , Los Muertos Brewing, Miss Aly´s Boutique, Paco’s Ranch, PVRPV, PVRPV Laundry, Reinas Bar, Rich Kaufman, Royal Albion Property Management, Salud Super Food, Seasons, Steve’s Sport Bar, The Palm, The Property Girl, Wallace R.
