Long before the bridges were built over the Río Cuale, Alberto Pérez González in 1959 [also a singer],built the first restaurant and beach club on Los Muertos Beach. Check out their historic “before and after” photos of Puerto Vallarta in the hallway—you’ll be amazed. Wonderful, people watching place for breakfast, lunch and dinner either under the large Palapa or on the beach (torch-lit or warmed by open fires for dinner depending on the season).Their Mexican/Pacific Rim fusion cuisine has won many awards including 2012 5* Diamond Award from American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. Breakfast features cinnamon oatmeal pancakes; brioche French toast; fruit plate; egg white omelets with asparagus, spinach and panela; chicken chilaquiles; shrimp spinach crêpes; and eggs Benedict. Later in the day be tempted by chicken or beef fajitas; ceviche trio; shrimp aguachile; salads with many toppings including seared salmon; seafood enchiladas; shrimp or fish tacos; ancho guacamole with panela; tortilla soup; pork pot stickers; and grilled octopus.. Fine dining offerings may include: pepper-crusted tuna; shrimp with guanabana and coconut; huachinango sarandeado; braised short ribs; coconut shrimp; pan seared salmon; scallops with red bell pepper polenta; arrachera; pork tenderloin with goat cheese and chorizo; and tamarind-flavored chicken breast. Live music entices patrons into the bar between 8-11pm. Don’t forget the tequilas— either tastings or by the shot— your bartender will be pleased to explain. WiFi.
