On the corner of Olas Altas and Rudolfo Gomez (Zona Romantica) since 1995, Dommenico ‘Mimmo’ Lorusso and his attentive staff serve wood-oven small pizzas [24 types including calzone]. Or choose a variety of pastas with six, different sauces including Bolognesa. Tempura-battered fried calamari with red and white dipping sauce; garlic mushrooms, bruschetta; melon with prosciutto; and salads (including tomato with gorgonzola) will keep you occupied if you’re having difficulty choosing. There’s also fish fillet( four ways); shrimp Diablo; chicken funghi; and beef filet (five styles, cooked your way). Tiramisú, apple strudel and great gelato for dessert. Mostly outdoor wrap-around dinning with many cooling fans; some A/C indoors. Busy during winter season. The Fluvial location is smaller with a/c and located close to two, major shopping areas.
Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas (Banderas Bay) are a foodie’s feasting grounds with hundreds of restaurants including: establishments within hotels; independently operated; cenadurías (modest family-owned establishments) and comida corridas (simple places with fixed price menus); and taquerías (taco stands). Gaypv.com uses Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Guide Beck’s Best ©2016 A Guide for Food Lovers by Gary Beck as the basis for these condensed descriptions which we have limited to some of the independently operated restaurants. Our listing will help you get started. You can search by cuisine, area, or name. We’ve detailed about 100 restaurants in some of the more accessible tourist areas.
