Derek’s extensive background in music will allow the PVGMC to continue its mission to create musical experiences that entertain, enlighten, and inspire. Through their performances, the Chorus aims to build bridges of understanding, acceptance and love within the community.

If you are interested in joining the PVGMC, our rehearsals are every Tuesday at the International Friendship Club from 7pm – 9:30pm (prospective members are asked to show up early to audition). The Puerto Vallarta Men’s Chorus is the first gay chorus in Mexico and all of Latin America. We’re a proud member of GALA Choruses (www.galachoruses.org), a worldwide organization that represents over 8,000 singers and over 170 choruses around the world. Singing in a gay male chorus such as the Puerto Vallarta Men’s Chorus is a unique experience that will allow you to be part of a community like no other. We are from Puerto Vallarta and other parts of México. We come from other countries, primarily the United States and Canada. Our ages range from early 20’s to 70’s and our musical experience is varied, from those who have vast choral singing experience, to those who are doing so for the first time, ever. We are a chorus of approximately 10 to 40 members, both Mexican and Ex-Pat singing beautiful male choral music with lots of fun comedic material in both English and Spanish.
