puerto vallarta news Here is the latest Puerto Vallarta News and travel updates for October 2020.

The famous malecon opens fully on September 29 2020. Authorities finally fully opened the malecon by removing the yellow caution tape that has been placed over the section of the Malecón closest to the ocean for 6 months of restrictions due to the covid health contingency. Access to the famous malecon sculptures, the beach area, Los Arcos, the sea horse or the Puerto Vallarta letters will no longer be restricted. Many walkers have ignored the yellow tape that limited access to these area except that sections could be accessed for certain businesses fronting the area.

Halloween and Day of the dead are special occasions in PV. While we will be open normal hours those days, out of caution we will not hold any special event, costume contest, nor offer candy to passing children. We are proud of our ability to keep our venue safe and feel that inviting to much activity puts our staff and clients at great risk. We will be open for normal service and our awesome happy hour. You are welcome to be dressed up when you visit and we will be following protocols, as usual. Please have a safe time celebrating these events. It is important to Chachalaca Bar that we do our part to do business safely and we hope to see you for a comfortable meal or beverage. We appreciate your support.

Apaches Martini Bar Halloween 2020 Update

As you all know Halloween at Apaches has a long tradition where our clients join the community and enjoy time handing out candy to the 100’s of children that pass by. This is a tradition we treasure. Given the current climate due to the Covid Virus, we have made the tough decision to be closed on October 31st this year. Although Halloween is one of our most profitable events, we feel that our inability to effectively control the crowds would put you as well as our staff at increased risk, something we are not willing to do. This is also in support of the Governments request to cancel all events related to Halloween and Dia de los Muertos. Please know that we will be able to enjoy these times once again in the future. Until then please be safe and again, thanks for your continued support and understanding as we manage these difficult times together. Always, Ricardo, Geoff, Abraham & Javier
