On her part, Carla Esparza Quintero, councilwoman president of the Tourism and Economic Development Commission, celebrated the bear encounter for being a demonstration of equal rights and non-discrimination. “We are all different as people, but equal in rights, welcome the bears to Puerto Vallarta”.

Finally, Luis Villaseñor, general director of the Public Trust for Tourism Promotion and Publicity of the Municipality of Puerto Vallarta, confirmed that this city is very welcoming for the entire LGBTQ+ community, especially the bear and leather community. The tourism department announces its official support for Beefdip and all Puerto Vallarta bear and leather events.

Steve also is happy to announce he is already planning the 20th anniversary Beefdip event for Puerto Vallarta in 2024. Those dates are scheduled for January 28th – February 4th 2024 with an epic event and international bear dj line up.
