ROMPE Urban Art Group To Add Murals In Puerto Vallarta. International artists with design experience and extensive experience in the creation of murals, businesses, government and the local community join forces for the creation of an artistic mural route in Puerto Vallarta.

Sharo García, founder and general coordinator of ROMPE Urban Art Collective announced the creation of artistic murals in public spaces in the Centro Historico and Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta. This was stated in a recent press conference attended by Garcia, Luis Villaseñor, general director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, the heads of the Directorate of Tourism and Economic Development, the Citizen Council of the Historic Center, and famed Puerto Vallarta writer Juan Gómez Encarnación.

The first stage of the project will be 6 murals that will capture natural and historical aspects of the city, local flora, opal mining and jewelry, Puerto Vallarta as the most important LGBT+ friendly city in Mexico and at Matamoros Lighthouse, a tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. It will be financed with contributions from hotels, restaurants, local businesses and the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust with complete financial transparency from the ROMPE group.

Another highlight of the project is the inclusion of augmented reality technology in two of the murals. The murals will include digital design created by the firm Synergy Studio, which created “El hombre de fuego” by José Clemente Orozco in Guadalajara and “La Fraternidad” by Rufino Tamayo in New York.
