Amapas Community Celebrates Abedul Stairway Project Groundbreaking

The Abedul Stairs, a beloved landmark in the Amapas neighborhood, will be temporarily closed for the next two months to facilitate the construction of a new stairway, ironwork, landscaping, lighting, and a donor recognition wall. These enhancements will not only improve the functionality and safety of the stairway but also add aesthetic value to the surrounding area.

Originally, the fundraising goal for the project was set at $50,000 USD. However, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of caring individuals, a total of $59,000 USD has been generated. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the strong sense of community and dedication within the Amapas neighborhood.

The Amapas Neighborhood Association extends its heartfelt gratitude to the project committee and, in particular, Glenn Kacic, for his exceptional leadership and unwavering passion. Kacic’s commitment to the Abedul Stairway project has been instrumental in its success thus far.

As the construction commences, the Amapas community eagerly anticipates the completion of the Abedul Stairway project. The revitalized stairway will not only serve as a functional pathway but also stand as a symbol of unity and progress within the community.
