
Casa Cupula opened as a small 5 bedroom guest house in 2002 and was the first to offer luxury accommodations for LGBTQ travelers in Puerto Vallarta. During those 20 years this iconic landmark helped establish Puerto Vallarta as one of the top gay travel destinations by being at the forefront of gay travel trends, innovating its amenities while winning awards and accommodations along the way.
- Casa Cupula hosted the official launch of Vallarta Pride in 2013Â featuring “Broadway Bares / Equity Fights AIDS” dance group.
- The clothing optional pool parties in Puerto Vallarta were first introduced by Casa Cupula in December 2017.
- The staff helped during many local emergencies, including spearheading the $40,000 drive to rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Patricia in 2015, and then again after the 2017 Chiapas earthquake supporting various local charities like SETAC the local LGBTQ community center and What a Drag! event benefiting the Banderas Bay Women’s shelter.
