Puerto Vallarta A top city for Valentines Day 2025.  Puerto Vallarta was listed in the top 3 most searched international destinations for #Valentine’s Day 2025 according to a new study by Allianz Partners. These results were from reviewing more than 1.6 million itineraries for roundtrip flights departing U.S. airports between Friday, February 7 and Thursday, February 13, with a return date between Friday, February 14 and Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

According to Allianz Partners, 3 sun and beach destinations in Mexico traditionally lead travel preferences from the U.S. for Valentine’s Day:  #1 Cancun, #2 Los Cabos and #3 Puerto Vallarta. The remaining top destinations are remaining destinations with travelers heading to London, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, Paris, Mexico City, Liberia (Costa Rica) and Oranjestad (Aruba).

These results continually reaffirm Puerto Vallarta A Top City For Valentines Day 2025 from the interest and preference of North American travelers. The popularity is mostly noted during significant holiday periods like Thanksgiving, New Year’s and Easter. The study notes holiday bookings overall have increased by 42% compared to 2024.

Canadian Demand Increasing

Puerto Vallarta is seeing an increased demand from Canadians tourism.  Of the total international flights booked between October and December 2024 to fly in 2025 from Vancouver International Airport (YVR), 7% went to Mexico destinations per the travel platform FlightHub.

Puerto Vallarta is the only Mexican destination on the list of the 10 most booked international destinations from Vancouver, Canada.

Millennials bought the most tickets to international cities with 31% of travel booked, closely followed by Generation X with 28%,

Puerto Vallarta a top city for Valentines Day 2025 due to growth of Canadian tourism is attributed to the enjoyment of the warmer winter weather, overall perceived safety, wide range of accommodations, natural beauty and gastronomy available in the city.
