Is the LUDŌ Dinner Show Worth It?
LUDŌ is not something you do every week and it requires advance planning, transportation, and is at a higher price point than most evening activities in Puerto Vallarta. For those willing to plan ahead, LUDŌ offers a distinctive, visually impressive night that feels more like a destination experience than a typical night out.
One major advantage for nightlife lovers: The 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM show times allow you to enjoy the best of this luxury production at Vidanta and still be back in the Romantic Zone by 10:30 PM to enjoy the bar-hopping and dancing that makes PV famous.

LUDŌ Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is there a specific dress code for the show?
Most guests wear Smart Casual or “Resort Elegant.” While there is no strict black-tie requirement, many people opt for dresses or collared shirts to match the luxury atmosphere of the Lotus Theater.
2. What is the deal with Child Pricing?
Exclusive Update for 2026: Reduced pricing is now available for children aged 3–12 (typically 15% off adult rates). Children under 3 are not permitted due to high-decibel sound and immersive lighting effects.
3. Can I take photos or videos during the performance?
Photography and video are allowed with no flash. To ensure safety for the acrobats, all recording must be kept at or below shoulder height to avoid obstructing the view of others.
4. How early should I arrive if I have a dinner ticket?
Dinner is served exactly one hour before the show starts. The start time is the same time dinner is served so it is best to arrive 15-30 minutes before that time. Also note there is a 20 min walk from the taxi/rideshare drop off or parking lot if you drove to the show
5. Are there vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meal options?
Yes! Vidanta offers curated menus for all dietary restrictions. Please notify your server as soon as you are seated for dinner to ensure your meal is adjusted correctly.
6. Is the Lotus Theater wheelchair accessible?
The venue is fully ADA-compliant. However, due to the resort’s layout, it is highly recommended to contact the theater in advance to arrange for staff-assisted shuttle transport from the drop-off point.
7. What happens if I arrive late?
The show starts punctually. Latecomers will only be seated during designated “breaks” in the performance to avoid disturbing the audience and artists. If you missed dinner, you will likely be served the current course only.
8. Can I buy drinks if I only have a “Show Only” ticket?
Yes, there is a bar in the theater lobby for Balcony/Show-Only guests. Note that drink prices are premium (approx. 300% markup), so plan your budget accordingly!
9. Can I order drinks during the performance?
No. LUDŌ operates with a strict “Service Lock.” Because of the immersive nature of the aquatic stage and lighting, all food and beverage service (including the bar) stops the moment the show begins. If you want a cocktail or need a refill, you must place your order at least 15 minutes before showtime
