Puerto Vallarta Gay Pride goes virtual online for 2020. The corona virus pandemic caused the cancellation of Vallarta Pride 2020 scheduled to begin Thursday, May 21st, 2020. Puerto Vallarta gay nightlife is vital to the culture and businesses in the Romantic Zone. The hundreds of bar staff and employees are without jobs with their primary source of income gone.
As a result of the crisis, the Vallarta pride committee decided to sponsor a fundraising event to help support those employees who are without income. On May 23, 2020 Brian Kent Productions with support of the Vallarta Pride organizing committee presented “PV STRONG”, an online Live-Streamed YouTube and Facebook Event that benefitted the Puerto Vallarta Nightlife Relief Fund hosted by Billboard Recording Artist, Brian Kent and Drag Cabaret Sensation, Sutton Lee Seymour. This first campaign will benefit the staff of La Noche, Reinas, Garbo, Mantamar, Blondies, Los Otros Blondies, WET, The Top Bar, Margarita Bar, and Mr Flamingos. All funds will be given to the employees of those establishments directly. As of May 24, over $23,000 USD has been raised with more still being donated.
