Bar Frida is one of Puerto Vallarta’s oldest Mexican gay bars opening in 2001 still in operation.  It is not just a bar…but a tradition with a very local gay clientele and local owner Tom Finley.

In Puerto Vallarta’s gay Romantic zone,  Bar Frida opened in 2001 originally in the current location of Reinas, Lazaro Cardenas #361.

In 2009 it moved to Avenue Insurgentes #301 staying there until Sept 2020. In October 2020 the new location will be Lázaro Cárdenas #481 A.

On October 1, 2022 the new location of Bar Frida 4.0 became the corner of Naranjo and V Carranza streets.

In every location where they have been, their drink prices are fair and bartenders ready to welcome you if you are a first time visitor or a local living around the corner.

They are famous for our fresh squeezed lime margaritas and the coldest beer in town. There is no attitude here! We are a cozy atmosphere where everyone shares tables and makes new friends.
