New Mural Dedicated At El Faro Lighthouse

New Mural Dedicated At El Faro Lighthouse. The Collective ROMPE presented a new artistic mural in the public space of the Lighthouse of Matamoros Street in the centro historico of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The new mural is the work of the young artist Luis Enrique Perez Lepe titled “Party and tradition.” Ultimately the creation of the mural was made possible thanks to the strategic linking of Fidetur Puerto Vallarta and ROMPE the municipal government of Puerto Vallarta and private initiatives.
New Mural Dedicated At El Faro Lighthouse A Tribute to culture
The mural commemorates the Day of the Dead and celebrates the cultural union between sister cities Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Aguascalientes.
The work is inspired by the style of the maestro Guadalupe Posada originally from Aguascalientes and creator of the iconic Catrina. It pays homage to both its artistic roots and the cultural richness that unites the two regions according to Perez Lepe.
In the background, the engraving shows the representative landscapes of the 2 cities: the mountains, houses and the imposing Cathedral of Aguascalientes, along with the iconic elements of Puerto Vallarta like its colonial architecture and the coastal environment.
The main characters, depicted as skulls in full celebration, reflect the festive essence of Day of the Dead. Each figure carries with him characteristic elements of both cities, from typical clothing to culinary traditions, such as Tejuino. The joyful and dynamic atmosphere of the scene seeks to convey a message of life, memory and celebration.

EXCHANGE THROUGH CULTURE
With the unveiling of the new mural, ROMPE announces with enthusiasm the renewal of its commitment of cooperation and collaboration between Sharo and Aguascalientes”, said Puerto Vallarta, Mexico Garcia, “reaffirming its historic relationship that has been an important model of cultural exchange.”
The New Mural Dedicated At El Faro joins the route of murals that tell stories of the Collective Alondra Muca created by talented artists such as ROMPE Ale Poiré, Dolores Navarro and Art Sharo all located in the Center of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
