Puerto Vallarta’s Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), has been recognized as one of Mexico’s safest and best-managed airports. The project has now surpassed 54% completion as of 2025, with phased operations expected to begin in the second half of 2027.

The new terminal will cover 119,114 square meters and include eight new contact gates and four remote positions, significantly expanding capacity.

Once complete, the combined airport facilities are expected to handle up to six million passengers annually, roughly doubling current operations.
