This is the proposed site for the first gay sculpture in the Romantic Zone and location of Beyond The Sun Art Event Pride 2024.
One of the art and cultural events held during Vallarta Pride 2024 is the Beyond The Sun Art Event Pride 2024. Sunday May 26, 2024, the event will be held at 180 Pulpito Street (which will be closed) in the Amapas colonia of the romantic zone of Puerto Vallarta. Improvements of the public space are currently underway via painting, adding small concrete barrier walls, and cleanup.
The Vallarta Pride committee, Arte Vallarta Museo and Hector Belloc are proposing to locate the first gay sculpture in Puerto Vallarta called “The Love and Diversity Sculpture” in this space at the intersection of Pulpito Street at Rudolfo Gomez at the historic tree. Google Map Location here. The sculpture design and artist will be by a Mexican artist and done during the upcoming summer.

The event and proposed sculpture are a combination of efforts of Arte Vallarta Museo, Taniel Chemsian Properties, Nomada, Pinnacle Residences and Thompson Puerto Vallarta Hotel and Residences. Tierra Fisica_ cultural promoter with Hector Belloc, Yamir Ali Yedet, Maria Orozco and ARTe VallaARTa Museo will organize and curate an auction during the event starting at 8pm.
Beyond The Sun Art Event Pride 2024Â The Auction
This outdoor auction is expected to represent more than 30 artists showcasing the evolution of Mexican art throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. Features pieces will represent some of the most outstanding masters of plastic arts and a new generation that evolves the craft of painting and the forthcoming arts.
Bid starting prices range from $1,500 USD and $4,000 USD on Painting, Graphics, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography and Urban Art illustrated in small formats. Proceeds from the auction will be split evenly between the artist and Arte Museo’s programs for childrens, women and gay artists..
