Café des Artistes celebrates diversity by completing diversity training
Diversity training in the workplace is more than a good practice. It’s essential for companies that want to hire and retain the best talent, expand their market reach and avoid potential pitfalls like bad publicity or even a costly lawsuit.
When companies make diversity training in the workplace a priority, the company reaps the benefits in countless ways. They’ll create an inclusive environment that fosters innovation and also ensures their brand will be popular with all people, which boosts revenue.
With better team morale due to a culture of acceptance and belonging, they will draw attention from top talent and grow the business with the best possible people.
Café des Artistes celebrates diversity by sending its teams to attend diversity training courses over the last year. Tuna Blanca, their sister restaurant has also participated. These education programs began in May of 2023 by the Jalisco Department of Tourism in Zapopan (part of the Guadalajara metropolitan area) and the program is called Distintivo I.
The restaurants filled the requirements of ensuring their teams have been trained in the sensitivity and awareness of marginalized communities. This includes any type of disability, sexual orientation and indigenous people. Both have won awards for completion of this program. Café des Artistes celebrates diversity and inclusion because they want everyone to feel welcome in their spaces.
A Pride party is a platform to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. It is a wonderful celebration rooted in a peaceful protest to open the eyes of those who struggle to see outside the binary. It helps people to understand that gender and sexuality are fluid. That these differences are what make people unique.
We’re all born into the same world and deserve the same opportunities. Penalizing human beings based on things they can’t control, such as sexual orientation, gender, or skin color, creates a world of fear, oppression and pain.
Pride isn’t just important for people within the LGBTQ+ community, it’s part of a much wider movement, designed to change how we think about ourselves and each other and bring humanity closer together.
Café des Artistes celebrates diversity by sending the message Pride Month is a global quest for tolerance, equality and education. It allows us to move forward towards a world where everyone is truly free.
Pride is something we all fundamentally deserve as human beings. In fact, researchers suggest pride is an important part of our survival as human beings. Pride increases self-esteem, gives us the confidence and motivation we need to accomplish our goals, and paves the way for ambition.
