The state’s Pride campaign, led by Michelle Fridman Hirsch, Secretary of Tourism for Jalisco, kicked off on Friday, June 27, at HERITAGE – The Official NYC Pride Party. The event, with an estimated social media reach of 700,000 people, marked the beginning of a multi-day effort to engage LGBTQ+ travelers.

On Sunday, Jalisco shines at NYC Pride 2025 March, parading a colorful float adorned with the state’s monumental letters, a live mariachi group, and prominent social media influencers — one with over 2 million followers, and 10 others with audiences exceeding 20,000 each. A 100-person delegation marched in the contingent, with 20 riding on the float, proudly sharing a message of diversity, pride, and inclusion with the streets of New York.

Later, Jalisco shines at NYC Pride 2025 in PrideFest, a street festival that draws over 250,000 attendees, offering direct engagement with travelers curious about Mexican LGBTQ+ destinations.

On Monday, June 30, the Jalisco team hosted a destination showcase in New York City, presenting to 20 key media outlets and emphasizing the state’s leadership in inclusive tourism.

This international presence is more than symbolic — it’s strategic. By participating in NYC Pride, Jalisco reaffirms its global reputation as a discrimination-free, LGBTQ+-affirming destination.
