Mexico travel agencies and airlines flying to Mexico are reporting recent enforcement of an existing immigration rule known as the “onward ticket rule” applying to all foreign visitors who are not residents of Mexico. These visitors must present a return or outbound ticket showing that you are leaving Mexico, ie that you do not just have a one-way ticket to Mexico. Check the entire list of documents you need to travel here. The penalty Airlines can impose on you for not having onward documentation is your denial from boarding the plane.
Also note the 180-Day tourism stay period has also changed. Historically visitors to Mexico filled out the Forma Migratoria Múltiple (FMM). Now the process is paperless and handled by the immigration agent who scans your passport at entry and stamps directly in your passport and handwrites a number up to 180. This is the number of days you are allowed to stay in Mexico. Make sure this number of days is more than the number of days you are staying in Mexico.
Puerto Vallarta Gay Travel June 2025. Porter Airlines adds new flights from Canada to Puerto Vallarta Mexico beginning in the winter season 2025 from Toronto (YYZ), Ottawa (YOW) and Hamilton (YMH) . The new flights will be operated on Embraer 195—E2 crews with capacity for 132 passengers and will begin in November 2025.
