Puerto Vallarta opens first Public Beach Club. Saturday, August 23, 2025 was the grand opening of Tuki Playa Palmares, the first public beach club in Puerto Vallarta. The celebration is part of the “Our Port Reborn” initiative, designed to preserve clean, certified, and accessible beaches for locals and visitors alike.
A Celebration Of The Beach
The festivities began at 10:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mayor Luis Ernesto Munguía, joined by council members and local authorities. The mayor highlighted that quality beaches such as Playa Palmares, already honored with the Blue Flag certification, strengthen Puerto Vallarta’s global tourist image.
He also thanked the agencies and community partners who made the project possible, underscoring the importance of collaboration in creating sustainable and inclusive spaces.
Palmares Festival: A Day to Remember
Hundreds of families gathered for the event opening of the beach club named Palmares Festival enjoying a vibrant mix of activities:

Food stands and a bar offering drinks and refreshments

Clean restrooms and guaranteed safety for all attendees

A free shuttle service every 30 minutes from the Malecón Lighthouse
The event was free and open to all ages, making it a true community celebration.
Expanding Public Beach Clubs in Puerto Vallarta
The opening of Tuki Playa Palmares is just the beginning. Plans are underway to develop five public beach clubs across Puerto Vallarta, including at Playa Camarones and Playa Holly. The goal is to create recreational and social spaces that benefit both residents and tourists, ensuring everyone has access to safe, high-quality beachfront experiences.
