“With the LGBTQ+ travel market expected to experience significant growth in the coming years, investing in inclusive policies and marketing strategies is not just the right thing to do—it’s an economic advantage,” said John Tanzella (he/him), IGLTA President/CEO. “Mexico’s tourism sector is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth, with strong LGBTQ+ travel hubs and room for further expansion. Symposiums like this offer valuable resources for tourism businesses to tap into this market authentically, building trust with the LGBTQ+ community while driving economic growth.”

Puerto Vallarta gay pride 2025 was promoted as Mexico hosts 1st IGLTA Symposium 2025 by Luis Villaseñor general director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust. Vallarta Pride is May 17-25, 2025 and PV expects 40, 000 attendees for the event this year. Villaseñor speaking in one of the panel discussions stated Vallarta Gay Pride is one of the largest pride events in the world in a beach city. Officials estimate Puerto Vallarta leads Mexico in attracting LGBTQ+ travelers with over 2 million visitors and generating 17 billion in annual revenue.
