Mama Tits Therapy Truth and a Decade of Drag in Paradise

Mama Tits Therapy Truth and a Decade of Drag in Paradise. Some performers make you laugh. Others make you think. Mama Tits does both—then grabs you by the collar and dares you to live bigger.

For the past decade, the statuesque drag diva has been a fixture of Puerto Vallarta’s LGBTQ+ nightlife, evolving from powerhouse singer to cultural icon, all while staying unapologetically true to herself.

“When I first arrived in Vallarta, I was a stranger, an immigrant chasing the dream of living authentically,” Mama recalls. “I wasn’t sure how the community would receive me. What I discovered was beyond my wildest hopes—this city embraced me with open arms, and it has been home ever since.”

A Residency Like No Other

In a city where entertainers often come and go with the seasons, Mama Tits has built something rare—a lasting legacy.

Her first six years at Act2PV were formative: a time to grow, to learn, and to test herself among world-class artists and musicians.

“Those years set me up to become one of the top artists in town,” Mama reflects, “and I’m honored to stand alongside talent that I truly admire.”

The past three years at The Palm Cabaret sharpened Mama’s voice—literally and figuratively—into a brand of performance that’s sharper, funnier, and more emotionally charged.

Now, she steps into Coco Cabaret, the sister venue to The Palm, entering its second season with Mama Tits as one of its anchors.

Side Effects May Vary

Side Effects May Vary is Mama’s newest creation—a high-energy cocktail of music, storytelling, and audience connection. It’s funny, it’s biting, and it’s real. Think less about recovering from the past and more about reclaiming the present.

“The world is burning,” Mama says flatly. “You’ve got to find something that makes your eyes roll back in your head once in a while. That’s what this show is—release, relief, and joy.”

This new production represents the evolution of Mama Tits: Therapy, Truth, and a Decade of Drag in Paradise, blending humor, vulnerability, and unfiltered honesty that resonates deeply with audiences.

The Power of Partnership

Part of what elevates Mama’s performances is her collaboration with music partner Diego Guerrero. His harmonies and instincts bring balance to her boldness.

“Diego is my anchor,” Mama explains. “He gives me the space to fly, and together we create something bigger than either of us alone. The audience feels that—it’s not just a performance, it’s a connection.”

Mama’s decade in Vallarta has also been marked by profound personal transformation. After shedding 200 pounds, she began weaving her lived experience into her art.

“It wasn’t about becoming someone else,” she says. “It was about stripping away excuses and stepping into my power. That’s the Mama you see now—still sassy, still brash, but more focused than ever.”

Mama Tits Therapy Truth and a Decade of Drag in Paradise What Comes Next

At Coco Cabaret, audiences can expect the full Mama Tits experience: powerhouse vocals, sharp comedy, fearless truth-telling, and moments of vulnerability that sneak up on you when you least expect it.

The show isn’t about perfection—it’s about permission. Permission to live your truth, laugh out loud, and, of course, have mind-blowing orgasms.

“I’ll always be Mama,” she says. “But I’ve grown with this city. Vallarta gave me love when I needed it most, and now I get to pour that love right back out every night on stage.”

But this coming season will also mark a new and unexpected chapter for Mama Tits.

A New Fight, A Fierce Spirit

In late September, during a routine prostate check—the first of her life—Mama received devastating news. Her PSA levels came back extremely high, an MRI revealed a Gleason score of 8, and a PET scan confirmed that the cancer had already entered the early stages of metastasizing.

What began as something seemingly manageable has escalated within weeks into an aggressive, life-threatening diagnosis. Her doctors have given her a very short window to act, and the fight is already underway.

On November 1, Mama will undergo emergency surgery to remove her prostate. Mid-December will mark the beginning of hormone treatments to slow the cancer’s progression, followed by a month-long course of daily radiation therapy scheduled for February in Guadalajara, with additional therapies likely to follow.

“This is the fight of my life,” Mama says candidly. “I’m more scared than I’ve ever been, but I have an incredible team of doctors, and I’m doing everything in my power to stay here, keep fighting, and get back on that stage.”

Due to this intensive treatment plan, her shows this season are expected to resume in late December or January, with a more consistent return starting in March, health permitting.

As Mama faces this journey, her community has rallied around her. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover the overwhelming medical costs, as she faces this fight without insurance.

Unstoppable Light

For ten years, Mama Tits has used her platform to entertain, inspire, and fiercely advocate for authenticity and equality. Now, as she faces the most personal battle of her life, she does so with the same raw honesty and fierce spirit that has defined her career.

If you think drag is only about wigs and lipstick, Mama Tits is here to prove you wrong. Side Effects May Vary is therapy, it’s theater, it’s nightlife, and it’s a damn good time.

But more than that, Mama herself is living proof that even in the face of fear, truth and community can light the way forward.
