Jordon Carnegie As Hedwig Robinson At The Palm Cabaret. Jordon moved to Puerto Vallarta 3 years ago from Chicago and very quickly became a recognizable face in the Puerto Vallarta Cabaret scene. He had shows at Incanto, Act2PV with his husband Richard Carnegie and debuted his Elvis show at The Palm Cabaret last season. That show ends March 22, 2024 after a successful run. He is very excited to change gears and bring the Tony-Award winning new show Hedwig and the Angry Inch to The Palm Cabaret May 2024. Hedwig is a rock musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Trask and written by John Cameron Mitchell. The musical follows Hedwig Robinson, a genderqueer East German singer of a fictional rock and roll band, The Angry Inch.
The show has been produced and hailed all over the world in hundreds of stage productions but it has never been performed in Mexico…until now. This show is extremely close to his heart and he is sure it will impact everyone who sees it as much as
In 2013, and 2014, Jordan had the privilege of performing the role in two sold out runs. His performance earned him a Best Leading Actor Nomination with Broadway World.
He met and befriended Mike Potter, the makeup and wig designer who created Hedwigs iconic look. He worked on the show since its inception including the film and is now a successful celebrity makeup artist.
In 2019, the creator/writer/original Hedwig, John Cameron Mitchell was on his “Origin of Love” tour. Mike asked Jordan if I’d be his makeup and wig artist for the Michigan stop on the tour. Jordan immediately said yes and soon he was painting the face of his idol, styling the iconic wig and helping him with costume changes.
This show has taught him so many things. It’s influenced how he views life and love. So to be able to spend time with the man responsible for such a powerful story was more than Jordan could have ever dreamed.
