Profile

Vallarta Gay Community Center is a new, local non profit community center with a local PrEP program and programs for awareness and prevention of STI ́s and HIV infection in the LGBTQ community.
The Vallarta Gay Community Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering empowerment, wellness, and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community. We provide PREP, PEP, DoxyPEP, Psychotherapy, HIV tests, STI tests and their treatment.
PREP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is an HIV prevention strategy, which consists of the daily and scheduled intake of a pill (Emtricitabine/Tenofovir) that generates protection in the person’s body to reduce the chances of acquiring HIV in case of being exposed to the virus.
PEP, or Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, is a crucial drug that prevents HIV transmission for those who have engaged in unprotected sex. By taking PEP within a 72h window, individuals can greatly lower the risk of infection.
Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (DoxyPEP), is an antibiotic that is taken after sex (24H), to prevent getting a sexually transmitted infection (STI). A morning-after pill for STIs.
We also offer community activities like Yoga, Salsa lessons, HIV support group, Substance abuse support group and more. For more information contact us, or check our facebook page or Instagram. We are conveniently located on Morelos street, right by the lower bridge over the Rio Cuale, above the Santander bank.
