Puerto Vallarta Gay Pride 2018 Hugely Attended

Puerto Vallarta just held a widely attended Puerto Vallarta Gay Pride 2018. A new Airbnb study revealed the top cities to visit for Pride in 2018. This study looked at 100 cities with the highest attendance to events worldwide and found the city that fared best under five different LGBTQ categories. Althought not listed in the new Airbnb study, using the same criteria PV Pride 2018 certainly ranks high.

1.The number of people traveling to PV Gay Pride. Vallarta in 2018 saw almost every hotel, bar, club and restaurant full from May 23-27, 2018. Now in its second year, the newly formed block party held in Lazaro Cardenas street immediately after the pride parade had many thousand attendees. International celebrities like Andrew Christian, Eliad Cohen, Steve Grand, Alejandra Bogue, and Lorena Herrera were on hand for the main events. International press from Outtraveler, Instinct, Boysmx, and Queerty also were in town to attend the pride events.  The Advocate featured a photo gallery covering Vallarta Pride 2018 only days after the event. According to Misterbnb, Puerto Vallarta is in their Top 20 city list with bookings growing 200% in 2018 compared to 2017.

2.The highest use of dating apps while attending pride. Dating apps Grindr and Scruff were at peak capacity during the past pride weekend.
3.Look at the number of LGBTQ clubs and bars, Puerto Vallarta is always a winner here. There are 20 plus well established gay bars and clubs in the nightlife scene of Vallarta.
4.Evaluatation of Puerto Vallarta’s event based on the number of Parade entries. For Vallarta Pride 2018, there 38 Parade entries but most outstanding this year was the addition of a huge local police force and all the political candidates as this is an election year in Mexico.
5. Rank according to when the city legalised same-sex marriage. Puerto Vallarta is located in the Mexican state of Jalisco, which legalised gay marriage in April 2016 less than one year after the United States.

For the fifth consecutive year, from May 20 to 27, 2018, Puerto Vallarta will welcome the largest LGBT Pride event in the region: Vallarta Pride. Associations, companies and the entire LGBT community have joined together again to organize this event that celebrates the lifestyle diversity of our city in a 7-day festival that will offer arts and culture events, concerts, entertainment, films, fun, lots of partying and our fabulous Pride Parade. Our main events have a small donation and are non-profit to once again show the world the best of our accepting and vibrant community. It is that level of acceptance which has made Puerto Vallarta recognized worldwide as an LGBT mecca, hosting national and international gay visitors and creating a sophisticated culture that is an important artistic, professional, altruistic and economic contributor to the community.
