We are excited to feature Eddy Poledancer Winner of the Casa Cupula Go Go Competition and Lalo Gil, organizer and host, to tell us a little information about the contest.
Lalo tell us about the competition.
We held the 2nd annual Go Go competition at the end of April 2024. I was so excited to complete this successful competition and I love finding new talented guys to bring their skills to Puerto Vallarta.
I thank everyone including our Casa Cupula staff, friends, sponsors, contestants, and judges for making it such a popular event . I say get ready for what’s coming next year. You do not want to miss it. Stay tuned for next year’s competition here.
Congratulations Eddy Poledancer on winning the title and $20,000 pesos. You are a professional pole dance teacher. Tell us how long you have been a poledancer?
I started at the age of 8 and continued learning techniques until age 19. I have taken many dance classes and workshops until finally becoming a dance master where I can teach others to pole dance. It is my true passion.
Eddy Poledancer what brought you to Puerto Vallarta?
I was invited to come to Mexico City by the Mexican PoleDance Embassy to work for 4 months. When the four-month contract ended I decided to stay and live in Mexico City. I worked there for a year as a Poledance teacher in several studios.
After that, I made the decision to visit and and then move to Puerto Vallarta where I fortunately worked at La Noche for many years. I really never thought about being a gogo dancer, but it has totally opened up a new career for me and changed my life.
Why is Puerto Vallarta one of the top gay destinations in the world?
The gay community is able to open up more and be themselves and express their feelings and personality more than in many places. The diversity of entertainment, events, parties, clubs, and being able to enjoy the variety of restaurants and beaches in one city is amazing. The community really feels safe to enjoy it all.
Eddy Poledancer what do you enjoy doing here?
I really going to the beach, movies, eating out and to parties. However, I especially enjoy my solitude hanging out at home alone.
Eddy Poledancer What do you do in Vallarta?
I have a Pole Dance studio of Latin rhythms at #1939 Francisco Medina Ascencio Street in North Hotel Zone. I work as a Gogo Dancer in private events with Mantamar, Jubilee in Mexico City and as a Gogo dancer at Mercurio and Casa Cupula.
