Alexis Rosas, where are you from, and where do you live now?

I’m from San Luis Potosí, right in the center of Mexico—yeah, the heart of the country. These days, I’m living in the capital, trying to be a responsible adult… but honestly, my Plan B always involves a suitcase and a serious urge to escape to the beach.
San Luis is my home base, but I’ve got a nomadic soul. Whenever I get the chance, I take off—and Vallarta is my go-to spot.

What do you do for work?

I’m an Industrial Engineer, currently working in Logistics for a company that handles industrial and medical gases. Yeah, it sounds super technical, but it’s way more interesting than it seems! Basically, I make sure everything gets where it needs to be, right on time—from oxygen for hospitals to supplies for factories.

I love it because it mixes technical skills with hands-on problem-solving, and no two days are the same. Logistics might not sound thrilling, but trust me, it has its exciting moments.

When did you last visit Puerto Vallarta, Alexis Rosas?

Just recently, for Pride 2025! It was my second time celebrating there, and I loved it. Vallarta during Pride is next-level—the colors, people from everywhere, and this incredible vibe of freedom.

I went with friends, hit the parade, danced all night (club-hopping, obviously), and just soaked up the energy everywhere. We also made time for the beach, cocktails, and amazing food (because you can’t come to Vallarta and not crave seafood every single day). Plus, we met people from all over.

It was one of those trips where you’re nonstop but never stressed. Everything just flows, and you’re having fun from the second you arrive.

 

Then it wasn’t your first time. Have you been a lot?

Oh, I’ve been many times! Vallarta actually holds a special place in my story. The first time I visited, I was 8—it was my first time seeing the ocean, and it was love at first sight. I’ve been back at different stages of my life: with family, with friends, and for big milestones like high school and college graduations.

Later, when I was working, I even got to live in Vallarta for six months during the pandemic (thanks to a work project). That time let me see a different side of the city, beyond the tourist spots. I explored downtown, hidden beaches like Conchas Chinas, and fell hard for the food scene. What really got me was how chill life felt there. I didn’t want to leave.

Now, I try to go back at least once a year—whether it’s for New Year’s or to soak up the Pride energy. Vallarta’s always a place I’m excited to return to.

What do you love doing most in Puerto Vallarta?

My favorite thing is just walking around—whether it’s along the beach at sunset or through the streets of the Romantic Zone. I love the mix of laid-back and vibrant energy in that part of town. Everything’s alive: bars, galleries, cute cafés, restaurants, all with this vibe I adore… and of course, the people there are just out to have a great time.

I’m also a huge fan of Vallarta’s nightlife. I’ve had the best times dancing at places like Industry and CC Slaughters, where the music’s great, the crowd’s fun, and you meet people from all over the world. It’s easy to end up dancing with someone from Brazil, Canada, or Spain and walk away with new friends—even if you never see them again, the memories are unforgettable.

And if the party starts early? Mantamar is the perfect spot. It’s the kind of place where brunch turns into a pool party without you even noticing. Sun, music, ocean views—it all adds up to an amazing time. Vallarta always has something going on, but it still feels relaxed. Every trip leaves me with new stories and memories.

What’s on your wishlist for your next visit?

I’d love to spend New Year’s in Vallarta again. I’ve done it before, and it’s a whole experience. The energy that night is unreal—streets packed with people partying, music everywhere… you don’t even think about sleep until suddenly it’s over and the party’s still going.

The best part? The fireworks over the ocean, right on the malecón. So yeah, fingers crossed I can ring in 2026 there—dancing on the beach and soaking up Vallarta’s beautiful chaos.

Alexis Rosas, ¿De dónde eres y dónde vives ahora?

-Soy de San Luis Potosí, del centro del país… sí, del corazón de México. Vivo en la capital, tratando de ser adulto responsable… pero la verdad, mi plan B siempre incluye una maleta, y muchas ganas de escaparme a la playa.

San Luis es mi base, pero la verdad, tengo alma nómada. Cada vez que puedo, me escapo y qué mejor que a Vallarta.

¿A qué te dedicas profesionalmente?

Soy Ingeniero Industrial y actualmente trabajo en el área de Logística dentro de una empresa que se dedica a gases industriales y medicinales —sí, suena muy técnico, ¡pero es más interesante de lo que parece! Básicamente, me encargo de que todo llegue a donde tiene que llegar, en el momento exacto, desde oxígeno para hospitales hasta insumos para fábricas.

Me gusta porque combina lo técnico con lo práctico, y nunca hay un día igual al otro. Aunque no lo parezca, la logística también tiene su lado emocionante.

 

¿Cuándo visitaste Puerto Vallarta, Alexis Rosas?

La última vez fue hace poquito, durante el PRIDE 2025. Ya es la segunda vez que vengo a celebrarlo aquí y, la verdad, ¡me encanta! Vallarta en Pride se transforma —los colores, gente de todas partes, y una vibra de libertad increíble.

Estuve con amigos, fuimos a la marcha, bailamos de antro en antro , y disfrutando por todas partes, en Vallarta . También aprovechamos para ir a la playa, drinks y comer rico (porque no se puede venir a Vallarta y no tener antojo de mariscos todos los días), y conocer gente de mil lugares.

Es de esos viajes donde no paras ni un segundo, pero tampoco te estresas. Todo fluye y la pasas bien desde que llegas.

 

Así que ya has visitado Puerto Vallarta antes. ¿Has venido muchas veces?

¡Ya he venido varias veces! De hecho, Vallarta tiene un lugar muy especial en mi historia. La primera vez que lo visité tenía 8 años, fue cuando conocí el mar por primera vez y fue amor a primera vista. Desde entonces he regresado en diferentes etapas de mi vida: con mi familia, con amigos, y también en momentos clave como mis graduaciones de prepa y universidad.

Más adelante, ya trabajando, tuve la oportunidad de vivir en Vallarta por seis meses durante la pandemia, gracias a un proyecto con el corporativo donde estaba. Esa temporada me permitió descubrir una cara distinta de la ciudad, más allá de lo turístico. Conocí el centro, playas más escondidas como Conchas Chinas, y me enamoré de su gastronomía. Lo que más me atrapó fue lo tranquila que puede ser la vida aquí. La verdad, no quería irme.

Desde entonces, intento volver al menos una vez al año, ya sea para celebrar Año Nuevo o vivir la energía del Pride. Vallarta siempre ha sido un lugar al que regreso con muchas ganas.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta hacer y visitar en Puerto Vallarta?

Lo que más disfruto en Vallarta es simplemente caminar —ya sea por la playa al atardecer o por las calles de la Zona Romántica. Me encanta esa combinación única entre lo relajado y lo vibrante que tiene esta parte de la ciudad. Todo está lleno de vida: bares, galerías, cafeterías lindas, restaurantes, todos con una vibra que me encanta… y claro, la energía de la gente que está ahí para pasarla bien.

También soy súper fan de la vida nocturna de Vallarta. Me la he pasado increíble bailando en lugares como Industry y CC Slaughters, donde siempre hay buena música, ambiente y gente de todas partes del mundo. Es muy fácil terminar bailando con alguien de Brasil, Canadá o España, y terminar la noche con nuevas amistades que tal vez no vuelvas a ver, pero con quienes compartiste momentos inolvidables.

Y si la fiesta empieza temprano, Mantamar es el plan perfecto, Es ese tipo de sitio donde puedes pasar del brunch a la fiesta sin darte cuenta. Sol, alberca, buena música, y la vista al mar… todo se junta para pasarla increíble . En Vallarta siempre hay algo pasando, pero al mismo tiempo se siente todo tan relajado… por eso cada vez que vengo, regreso con nuevas historias y recuerdos increíbles.

¿Qué te gustaría hacer en tu próxima visita?

Me encantaría volver a pasar Año Nuevo en Vallarta. Ya lo he vivido antes y fue toda una experiencia. La vibra esa noche es increíble —las calles llenas de gente de todas partes, todos en modo fiesta, música por todos lados… ni si quiera te acuerdas de dormir cuando de repente ya se terminó la noche y sigue la fiesta .

Lo que más me emociona son los fuegos artificiales frente al mar. Justo en el malecón, Así que sí, cruzo los dedos para poder estar ahí este fin de año, empezar el 2026 bailando en la playa y disfrutando ese caos bonito que es Vallarta en fiestas.
