Vallarta Pride Celebrates NYC Pride 2024
Vallarta Pride celebrates NYC Pride 2024. Puerto Vallarta gay pride and ACT LGBT participated in the New York City gay pride parade 2024 on June 30, 2024. This was the 4oth anniversary of the parade and the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall riots which began the gay rights movement in the US.
The NYC pride is one of the largest pride events in terms of attendance and activism with the theme this year “Reflect Empower & Unite”. The Consulate General of Mexico in New York City made Mexico’s attendance possible.
This year as Vallarta Pride Celebrates NYC Pride 2024 there were 55 floats and 2.5 million spectators on 5th Avenue. Puerto Vallarta’s attendance was led by Jorge Islas Lopez, Consul General of Mexico in New York, Puerto Vallarta residents and business owners and Javier Jimenez President of Vallarta Pride.
Vallarta Pride celebrated its 12 anniversary with the 2024 event. It has become one of the most events in any beach destination in Mexico attracting the largest number of visitors. Puerto Vallarta also has large events for the bear community centered in the romantic zone.
Javier Jimenez, president of Vallarta Pride, stated Puerto Vallarta was verty grateful for the invitation of the Consul General. Javier went on to especially thank the local businesses and community leaders who make Puerto Vallarta the great gay and safe destination that it is.
Additional thanks to the Puerto Vallarta tourism trust and the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Jalisco for their cooperation and assistance as Vallarta Pride Celebrates NYC Pride 2024
