BeefDip Bear Week Puerto Vallarta

ℹ️ About BeefDip Bear Week

BeefDip Bear Week has been held in Puerto Vallarta since 2002, and it calls itself the original bear week in PV. For nine days in late January, its pool parties, theme nights, beach party and booze cruise on Banderas Bay bring bears, cubs, otters, admirers and friends from around the world to the Zona Romántica.

BeefDip’s official events take place at its three host hotels, The Tryst, Blue Chairs and Hotel Delfin, and at CC Slaughters for the club nights. BeefDip is one part of a bigger week: Bearadise, STUDS, Industry, Mantamar and The Pool Club PV run their own events at the same time, with their own tickets. See our Puerto Vallarta Bear Week guide for the full picture, and our complete BeefDip guide for its history and how the week works.

BeefDip also gives back: its Tidal Wave fundraiser pool party and charity auction support local causes, and BeefDip has raised $160,200 CAD for charity in Puerto Vallarta to date, including $5,200 CAD in 2026.

Sponsors: Mistr

Partners: Furball (New York), Bearland (Guadalajara), Mad.Bear (Spain), QBO Bear Wear

🎧 BeefDip 2027 Schedule

All events below are included with a Dog Tag unless marked otherwise. The schedule can change, so check beefdip.com before you go.

📍 BeefDip Host Hotels & Venues

BeefDip’s official events are held at three host hotels in the Zona Romántica, The Tryst, Blue Chairs and Hotel Delfin, plus CC Slaughters for the club nights. According to BeefDip, the host hotels are the only hotels where official BeefDip events take place. Book rooms directly with each hotel.

As always in Puerto Vallarta, it is customary and encouraged to tip the performers, dancers and singers and very much appreciated and a good way to give to the local community.

👕 BeefDip Dress Codes by Night

Dress codes are suggestions, not rules, and most people dress up for at least one theme night. Daytime pool parties are swimwear and beach casual.

🎟️ Dog Tags: What’s Included

Dog Tags also give holders discounts at partner venues. Early-bird tags have sold out, and the price rises again on December 1. Tags are non-refundable and non-transferable, and they cover BeefDip events only, not other Bear Week organizers’ parties. Buy at beefdip.com.

⛵ BeefDip Booze Cruise

The booze cruise sails on Friday, January 29 from the pier by Hotel Delfin. Check in at 9:00 AM; the boat leaves at 9:45 AM sharp, so don’t miss it.

The day on Banderas Bay includes snorkeling, swimming, whale watching and lunch on the beach. Food and drinks on the boat are included; drinks at the beach restaurant are paid separately. Bring cash for tips.

The cruise is included only with the Gold Dog Tag ($290 CAD). The Silver tag does not include it.

📍 Dog Tag Pickup: Will Call & ID Required

Pick up your Dog Tag at the BeefDip Welcome Center. Its location changes midweek: Blue Chairs from Saturday to Monday, then Hotel Delfin from Tuesday to Thursday. Dog Tags are pickup only and are not mailed.

🚶 Getting Around During BeefDip

All four BeefDip venues are in the Zona Romántica, within walking distance of each other. The streets are steep and cobbled, so wear comfortable shoes. Taxis and rideshares are easy to find for late nights and for hotels outside the neighborhood.

🍽️ Where to Eat During BeefDip

Pool parties run through the afternoon and club nights start at 10 PM, which leaves the evening free for dinner. The Zona Romántica has hundreds of restaurants within walking distance of the venues, and The Tryst hosts BeefDip’s Dinner Under the Stars on Monday, January 25 (book on OpenTable). Browse our Puerto Vallarta restaurant and dining guide to plan where to eat.

Puerto Vallarta Gay Nightlife Safety

Use common sense at every party and club. Never leave your drink unattended. When meeting someone new at a bar or through a dating app, always verify their identity and age, and have your hotel’s front desk or reception see their ID. If there is no front desk, tell a trusted friend who you are with, where you are and when you expect to finish. After midnight, don’t walk back alone if your accommodation is more than one or two blocks away.
