Ramiro where you were born and live now？
I’m 25 years old and I was born in San José de Gracia, Michoacán and currently live in Puerto Vallarta.
Why are you Ramiro Chavez The GoGo Doctor？
My friend had the brilliant idea of calling me that because when I started go go dancing I was in the last year about to graduate as a Doctor.
Tell us how much formal medical education you have.
I studied medicine for 6 long years, which is called Surgeon and Midwife. Four of those years I was in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco at the University of Guadalajara (UDG) Centro Universitario del Sur (CUSUR), 1 year doing my professional internship (Internship) at the West General Hospital and 1 more year doing my social service in Lázaro Cárdenas Health Center in Guadalajara, Jalisco, all of which just ended July of this year.
Next year I will take an exam for medical residency specializing in Anesthesiology, which lasts 3 years and probably then do a subspecialty in Palliative Medicine or Intensive Care. My dream is to be a great anesthesiologist with international recognition.
What professional achievement are you the most proud of so far？
I have received the CENEVAL award for passing my exam with excellence to obtain my title as a doctor.
Tell us where you go go and the special events you have performed in.
I am a gogo dancer at Xico Antrx in Guadalajara. I have worked in Aguascalientes, Michoacán (Lázaro Cárdenas, Tanhuato, Tinguindín), Sinaloa (Mazatlán), San Luis Potosí, Ciudad de México, Jalisco (Tlaquepaque, Tonalá, La Barca, Puerto Vallarta).
I have performed at American Latin Pride by Jubileo, Leon Likes to Party, Meet productions and White Party.
What are you favorite places in PV？
I love the party scene in PV so I love Industry, Paco’s, CC Slaughters and Casa Cúpula.
Why is PV special for the LGBTQ community？
I think PV is safer and more open for the whole community than other places. It is special to me because it supports local talent and gives us an opportunity for work.
